Packing A Duffel Bag Or A Carry On Bag And Suitcases Full Of Essentials
A carry on is a small suitcase-like bag that is taken inside an aircraft by hand by the passenger and should not exceed the dimensions accepted by the airline company. The difference between them is the dimension and shape. As you can see, both bags are useful for carrying useful personal articles when you travel. This is the main reason why a duffel bag is a carry on bag, although it is larger than the dimensions accepted by the airline company.
IF you are traveling by car, it doesn’t matter very much. You can overpack as much as you generally want, a lot of room.
But if taking any Commercial Transportation, then you want to go as light as possible. One medium, with wheels suitcase ( large only if you’re going to lug it around). One medium or large over the shoulder Tote Bag with extra pockets and Zippers, for safety. Put your snacks, laptop, or Pad in it. A book, whatever, again stay light. Maybe a carry on as well. It depends if you’re on the road for work or personal how much you take.

You now do this 3, 4 days before you depart, you pack everything you plan on taking with you, all the little bottles, extras, whatever, pack it all up in the bags you plan on using. Let it sit overnight, now unpack and see how much you realize you don’t need to take it- Too many extra shirts, pants, coats, sweaters, etc. and other personal items (for ladies also whatever is equal).
So much you don’t need because you can wash some items overnight, some do it when they shower. They dry out soon enough. You will be surprised how much you can leave behind.
Check the weather where you’re going for a week or ten days. Do you need warm sweaters, more than one, ten pairs of socks, four pairs or more shoes, etc.? Look back at the last time you traveled and what you had and how much of it you didn’t need, use.
So try this and see if it works, I carry only a Backpack with wheels and a medium Tote and a small Tote. I travel very lightly even I’m away for a month and will buy whatever I need if it’s an absolute necessity. I may keep it or leave it. If you purchase any souvenirs, especially too many or heavy items, cover them well and MAIL them home.
